Percival G. Ulsamer
I'm a recent graduate of University of Maine with a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and am actively pursuing a career in ornithological research. My dream is to focus on the behavior, ecology, and life history of endangered and/or understudied avian species. I have over one year's worth of avian field experience as a Grassland Bird Intern with Smithsonian's Virginia Working Landscapes, a volunteer on Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge, an avian field technician with UMaine, and a seabird research technician on Maine Coastal Islands National Wildlife Refuge. I have also volunteered to help complete the Connecticut and Maine Breeding Bird Atlas.
In my free time, I go birding and take wildlife photography. I also enjoy hiking, kayaking, and anything outdoors. I've taken on sewing and create costumes for renaissance faires and LARPs, which I attend as well!
