While a grassland bird intern with Smithsonian's Virginia Working Landscapes, I was fortunate to be able to live on and explore privately owned lands, including Oak Spring Garden Foundation. The owners of these lands were working with the program to change their practices in order to benefit native flora and fauna. In my free time, I was able to truly enjoy the land I was working on and photographed some of the wildlife I was able to see.
